The Salomon Orchestra Past Concerts

TCHAIKOVSKY-ATHON at the Cheltenham Music Festival

Conductor: Martyn Brabbins (Artistic Director for the festival)

Following the 2003 success of the Beethoven-athon, all the (numbered) symphonies of Tchaikovsky were performed during the day.

10:30am Symphony No. 1 (45') Symphony No. 2 (33')

12:30pm Symphony No. 3 (45') Symphony No. 4 (41')

3pm Symphony No. 5 (46') Symphony No. 6 (44')

'Beneath a bust of the composer, the Salomon Orchestra, a London-based amateur ensemble of very high quality gave their all as Martyn Brabbins conducted Tchaikovsky's 6 numbered symphonies... A tour de force from everyone'.
